F. Starik was one of Amsterdam’s ‘lonely funeral’ poets. He wrote and recited tributes at funerals of the anonymous and the unclaimed, and believed that he was simply “returning the stories to people who had somehow lost theirs along the way.”
Following the death of poet F. Starik, the Liturature Museum of The Hague collected and exhibited a range of his writing and artwork as a collection of dioramas. This animation was displayed as part of the exhibition in September 2019. The animation was made in collaboration with Marina Sulima.
